At CCSD, we take pride in educating 21st-century students through technology integration across grades K–12. Our students are digital natives, and we recognize that they utilize technology in their everyday lives and will continue to do so in the workforce.
All CCSD teachers have the capacity to utilize and integrate technology consistently and to engage students through and with technology across the entire district. We are extremely fortunate to have a Board of Education that understands and values the role of technology in education.
CCSD is a fully 1:1 student Chromebook district. In addition, computers and other technologies, such as SmartBoards, are available in all classrooms. Technology is used to engage both students and teachers in interactive learning experiences, supported by a wide variety of software applications across all grade levels.
Wireless access is available in all instructional buildings, and BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) is available to staff. All CCSD internet access is filtered in accordance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA).
The school–home connection is maintained through our Student Management System, Infinite Campus, as well as our primary communication platform, ParentSquare. Infinite Campus is a web-enabled system that allows students and guardians to track grades, attendance, and other information relevant to a student’s educational progress. This is especially important for families who may be out of the area, such as parents or guardians who are deployed, as it enables them to maintain full access to their student’s progress.
