Welcome to the Fine Arts at Carthage Central!
Carthage Central Schools has a rich tradition of quality Fine Arts programs.
Carthage Central School was recently recognized as a 2017 Best Communities For Music Education, a national recognition. The award program recognizes outstanding efforts by teachers, administrators, parents, students and community leaders who have made music education part of the curriculum. Designations are made to districts and schools that demonstrate an exceptionally high commitment and access to music education.
Listed below are the offerings District Wide:
- K-4 Art and Music: once every six day cycle for 40 minutes
- In Middle School, we offer:
5th Grade Art and Music: every other day for 20 weeks, 41 minute period.
6-8th Grade Art (2D and 3D) and Music (General and Electronic) every other day for 10 weeks, 41 minute period.
At the Middle School level we also offer:
5th Grade Band
6th Grade Concert Band
7th & 8th Grade Wind Ensemble
Comet Choir (6th Grade)
Festival of Chorus (7/8th Grade)
Middle School Musical
- 9-12th Grade offers every other day for a block of 82 minutes:
Foundations of Art
Drawing and Painting
Advanced Drawing and Painting
Advanced Theatre Arts
Outside of our regular school day we offer:
Our students are active in the Community by participating in various parades, art shows, concerts and perform for our local senior citizens.
